Lead Generation

So you've licensed a WebCenter…now what should you do? Who will you call first? What are you going to say? Do you know the difference between Bystander, Database, and Network Lead Sources? If you are having trouble identifying and developing leads, be sure to dial in to this week's conference call at (918)222-7104 ext. 508 where we will help you get started gathering leads that you can approach.

Link Analysis Tool

This recently added feature will improve the quality of your Web site and its placement with search engines. By checking all of the images and links on your site prior to submission, you can increase your chances of inclusion in the world's most popular search engines.

When your Web site is submitted to a search engine, an automated program called a "crawler" skims the site--indexing all the information, links, and images that have been used. If the crawler comes across a broken or incomplete link or image, the analysis stops immediately, and the search engine considers the site not complete or inferior. Using the Link Analysis Tool, you are able to analyze your site, fix any mistakes and ensure that the search engine catalogs it as a relevant, high quality site.

To use this feature, log on to the Site Administration page, click on the Site Tools section, and scroll down to the bottom of the menu. Next, select the "Link/Page Analysis" option, click on the "Generate New Report" button, and your site will be analyzed. The report will show you the URL that was analyzed, the number of broken links found and all of the images that are presently used on your site.

It is important to note that the Link Analysis Tool can only identify the problem: the user is still responsible for manually fixing the links or images listed in the report. Last week, Sumi Wu at Complete Web Package was our top performer, so we asked her to give us a few tips for our other WebCenter owners. Sumi told us that two of the most important factors in her success have been learning how to effectively use the calendar, and continually listening to the training calls. She believes that it is crucial to understand the Web site package and how important it is for business owners: "If you want to be successful selling Web sites, learn your product."

When it comes to generating leads, Sumi doesn't blindly start making calls; she primarily focuses on local businesses in her area--usually within a three-mile radius. She has taken the time to identify her strengths and develop a program for prospecting and marketing to help her reach her goals. Great job Sumi! Keep up the good work!

Appointment Verification

Because of the limited number of appointments in the calendar, it is important for us to verify all of the appointments for the following day. Not only does this insure that the sales support team will be calling the right number at the right time, it also serves as a reminder to confirm the appointment with your prospect and make sure they are still available to do the walkthrough. Verifying your appointment helps us resolve potential problems before they occur, and minimizes the likelihood of incurring an incremental cancel.
